The site was born on May 20, 2007 and is part of the 5-passions.org network.

Previous Layouts
Even though the site is still relatively new, it has undergone some layout/header changes! Below are the previous layouts for Beating Like A Drum:

This was the original index page. It feature a silhouette of Kav, that I used from this image - this was the pamphlet that was available at the recent 'Beating Like A Drum Tour'.

This was the second index page. It featured the domain name in the same green colour version 4.

This was the third index page. It featured a holiday season type of feel with the addition of a couple of christmas related images.

Version 1 (no title) featured a group header and was a simple CSS based, 3 column layout using black, red and white as the main site colours. Contained only a hundred or so images, no audio or video and was housed at http://eskimojoe.australianjk.org. This version was born on May 20 and was replaced on July 1, with Version 2 (below).

Version 2 (title: Kavlicious), born on July 1, featured a Kav Temperley header, in honour of his 29th birthday, which he celebrated in July 3. The header featured screencaps and an image donated by the wonderful Jeskimo. Some small tweaking in the layout (still a simple CSS based, 3 column layout using red, white and black as the main colours), but this time, I experimented with different background colours, as well as removing the image links. Version 2 was housed mainly at the new domain, www.eskimojoeau.org, where it moved on June 22, 2007. Version 2 also saw the creation of a 2000+ image gallery, aduio and video, as well as more sections. Version 2 was replaced on August 1, with Version 3 (below).

Version 3 (title: All Dressed Up) featured a Live Earth photoshoot image as its main header, and again, its back to a group feature, plus some concert images of the band members. Tweaks to this version include a complete colour change (from red, white and black) to a more pastel blue style. It also moved from a 3 column layout to a 2 column layout (still CSS based). This version looks much cleaner, and not as chaotic as previous versions. The site is ever growing by the week, with visitors now from all across the globe. With Eskimo Joe hitting American shores from August 07 onwards, I wanted a clean, fresh look for the site, but for it to still retain some kind of appeal about it.

Version 4 (title: London Bombs) featured screen caps from the Eskimo Joe video London Bombs. Slightly different look, moving from pastel blue to a light green, adding 2 new sections - FAQs and Fans Top Lists but still retaining the 2 column CSS based layout from version 3.

Version 5 (title: Eskimo Joe Goodness) is just a montage of different EJ group shots, a simple design with a top header and also a bottom image. Moved from a green layout to beigey brown and sorting each section back into rough categories. With many thanks to Jeskimo and Emski for supplying some of the images I used for the header this month!

Version 6 (title: Rolling Stone Live!) featured screencaps from the Rolling Stone Live Interview the guys did in October 2006.

Version 7 (title: A Joel New Year!) features a Joel themed header, as Joel celebrates his 31st birthday on January 19. The images are (in order): Joel in concert at Live Earth, Joel in concert at another music festival, Joel asleep during a recording session (courtesy: EskimoJoe.net) and an awesome concert image supplied by Liz! Thank you Liz!

Version 8 (title: Simply Stu) features Stu-themed header, as Stu celebrates his 31st birthday. The imafes are various concert images of Stu, all of which can be found in the image galleries.

Please note, all images featured in the headers can be found over at the image galleries.
