This is just a section about me. Who I am, why I created the site and why I adore Eskimo Joe as much as I do!

I've been a fan of Eskimo Joe since I first heard From the Sea and was immediately entranced by the gorgeous voice of the lead singer. He sang (and still does sing!) with so much feeling, that its so hard not to be caught up by the music, the melody and presence that is Eskimo Joe.

I've only seen the band live once, that was on May 5, 2007. It was an absolutely awesome night, one that I hope to experience again in the future! It was amazing, seeing the band up close and personal. The venue was packed, but since we had arrived early, we got some great vantage spots right up front. We were within touching distance of Stu and just to the right of Kav, so it was an incredible view and the night was just...awesome!

So, why did I create an Eskimo Joe website? A couple of reasons.

   I wanted to show my support for the band, other than simply buying an album or seeing them in concert. And since the band have now ventured into the American market, I wanted to create a site that all fans, from all across the world, can visit and learn more about the band that is one of Australia's most popular rock bands!
  When I was searching the net for Eskimo Joe sites, I was surprised to find that there aren't many. In fact, apart from their MySpace page, there is only one other site on the net dedicated to these fantastically talented Fremantle boys. So, I figured, why not a website? It's something I like to do (design websites) and while I'm not an expert at designing or coding and all that other website stuff, I really do like it.

So, why Eskimo Joe? Hmm, is there any easy way to answer that question? I could go on and on, but I think I'll just list the main reasons.

   Kav is an incredibly gifted lyricist. He uses his lifes' experiences to write some incredibly amazing songs. I also think that he is an incredibly unique singer. I love his voice, his style and think he's just incredible.
   Joel and Stu are also fabulous and talented and incredible and make an absolutely fantastic addition to the band. The fact that these 3 guys have been together for 10yrs says a lot about them as people and artists.
   Have you heard their music? Seriously? Its fantastic, Australian rock music. 'Nuff said.
   They are absolutely fucking rocking live! Their onstage presence is amazing and being able to see them in intimate venues (where one can see sweat dripping down the face of Kav and Stu) makes the gig seem that much more special. They definitely know how to engage an audience and how to make sure everyone in that audience has a VERY good time. ie: I think a fucking great gig is where the Bundy is flowing and there's no airconditioning!" - Kav, May 05 2007

So, they are my reasons for liking Eskimo Joe. Everyone has different reasons, everyone likes something or someone different. I like Kav, think he's incredibly unique and will remain supportive of the guys for as long as they are around.
